The next day Sgt Stucky and the 55th WRS Launch Team pictured below launched the last official flight of a USAF WB-47 51-7066 on October 30th 1969. Lt Col Raymond Hamilton, Aircraft Commander, along with Lt Col William Payton, Co-Pilot and Navigator, Major Homero Lomas participated in the last active duty USAF flight in this WB-47E, 51-7066 as it taxies out for the take-off on October 30th 1969. They departed McClellan AFB enroute to Boeing Aircraft CO. WB-47E 51-7066 was subsequently turned over to the Seattle Museum of Flight where it resides today. Below shows 7066 arriving at the Boeing Field. The below picture was recently taken by Don Cassiday, Former President of the B-47 Stratojet Association, during a visit to Seattle.
